I ordered this car new in 1978.  As you can see it's red with red interior , it looked nicer than described and made the car different than the typical red/black combo.  Options included the WS-6 package, 4 spd, 3.42 posi, A/C, PS,PB,PW,PL, AM/FM stereo, HD cooling and deluxe interior.  The WS-6 package included the 220 hp 400" Pontiac engine, 15x8" snowflake wheels, stiffer springs, larger sway bars, stiffer shocks and stiffer suspension bushings.   Performance and handling were great, especially considering that in 1978 new Corvettes were running low 16's.   The WS6 TA was one of the fastest cars out of the showroom for under $7500!

The day after I took delivery I removed all decals (can't really tell from these poor pictures).     I  received a lot of positive comments on the "sans-decal" look, too many to count.

Other modifications were true dual exhaust, functional shaker scoop,  a H-O Racing carb kit and distributor recurve kit, 1.65 ratio rockers and locking rocker arm nuts to zero out the valve lash.    Best 1/4 mile times were in the range of 15.3 around 94 mph.  Traction was a real problem with the 4spd and the narrow 225/70 x 15 tires.   One mod I later regretted doing was to install the rear-mount antenna.    I thought it would improve FM reception, it did a little, but the antenna looked bogus.

My next car after the T/A was a 1984 Z-28 red with charcoal interior, 305 HO motor, 700R4 trans and 3.73 gear.   I also special ordered that car and after similar modifications as well as a Hypertech Stage 2 chip, ran almost identical 1/4 mile times.  No picture of that car though.   Always garage kept, I sold it in 1992 with 41,000 miles on it and in nearly perfect condition.
