1972 Grand Prix

This car was purchased as a well-optioned model SJ with about 30,000 miles on the odometer. Equipment included the standard 8.2:1 cr 455 4bbl, TH400, PS, PB, A/C, AM/FM, power seats, power windows, power locks, Ralley II rims and 3.07 12-bolt open rear. The only times we have for the car is a 15.36 et @ 92.6 mph run at Great Lakes Dragway, Union Grove WI with the car in stock trim. Later, headers were added along with a 9779068 (HO) cam, H-O racing carb and distributor kits, shift kit for the TH400 and locking rocker arm nuts to zero out the plunger travel on the hydraulic lifters. After these modifications the car was noticeably much stronger but no timed runs were made (damnit!). I needed money to return to college so the car was sold.
